Sibling Programs

Brothers and sisters of children with a chronic health condition deserve their own special time to get away and be with peers who can relate to their experiences. The world of brothers and sisters often focuses on their sibling’s chronic health condition. Parents find it difficult to divide their attention evenly among all children.

At this time Zebra Crossings welcomes siblings ages 6-12 to join our programs. Often their presence helps to reduce a first time participant's anxiety. Of course, it also provides siblings with a chance to spend time together in a fun environment and to create memories together which will last forever.

Zebra Crossings hopes to offer an annual Sibling Escape in the future. Priority will be given to siblings of children who have been in our programs. Sibling Escapes will allow brothers and sisters, age 6-15, the opportunity to participate in a similar camp weekend and experience many of the same recreational activities. The focus this time is just on them and they deserve their own special time and their own lasting memories. Activities include sports, archery canoeing, swimming, arts and crafts, ropes courses, camp fires and more.
